Vol.I
Dumbarton Kilwinning Lodge No 18, constituted 1726, having celebrated their 275th anniversary in the year 2001 and have now, not before time published their history:
'The History of Dumbarton Kilwinning Lodge No. 18' by David A.L. Wilson PZ Scribe E.

It covers the lodge's foundation and connection with Kilwinning, together with important and memorable events taking place both within the lodge and the town of Dumbarton. The history contains many references to local buildings, churches, ministers and families, all of which are certain to be of particular interest to anyone with even a distant connection with Dumbarton.
The handsomely bound volume, containing 80 pages with photographs, has been locally produced.
Vol.II
The
19 February 1803 marks the earliest record of a royal arch degree being
conferred in Dumbarton, on a Brother from Lodge Leven St John by Dumbarton
Kilwinning Lodge No 18, or No 20 as it was then.
Dumbarton
Royal Arch Chapter No 53 and Dumbarton Kilwinning Lodge No 18 held a joint
special event to commemorate this 200th anniversary on Saturday 1
March 2003. The History of Dumbarton
Kilwinning Lodge No 18 Volume II, includes a copy of this 200
year old certificate.
Volume
I is a chronological account of the Lodge's minutes. Volume II is entirely
different and focuses and expands on specific items, people and events.
